The Altadena fire started right under a Edison tower in Eaton Canyon

The origin of the fire in Altadena was captured in photos and video located under an abandoned power line in Eaton Canyon in the north eastern part of Altadena. The wind was occasionally fierce and the scrub brush on the Eaton Canyon walls burst into flame.  There is a complex mechanism called induction, where the main power line to Pasadena right next to the old abandoned line shed power off the the poorly maintained towers right next to it. The missing grounding, corroded parts and refusal to remove the old abandoned equipment all added up to a disaster.
